That blur is listed with 154CM everywhere else I've seen it and Kershaw does not list it on their site. Who knows what it is.
If you are referring to the green and purple Blur, you have to be kidding.

The Blur is certainly an example. Unfortunately, I've had bad experiences with assisted openers that lack a flipper.
I hear there used to be a CPM154 Buck 110.
http://www.trugrit.com/CPM154HeatTreatSpecs.pdf According to crucible it's as tough as s30v with less wear resistance and better grindability. Looks like its grindability is way higher than 154CM's.
"CPM 154 is CPM-manufactured version of Crucible’s standard 154 CM. The CPM manufacturing process produces a uniform distribution of the carbides in this grade, giving this CPM 154 easier grinding and polishing, plus better toughness, than conventional 154 CM, while retaining similar heat treat response and wear properties. CPM 154 offers better corrosion resistance, better wear resistance and better hot-hardness than 440C, plus higher toughness. For knifemakers, it offers better edge retention and chipping resistance than 440C."
I wonder why it's not used more often. It has very desirable traits.
Hmm, that data sheet from Crucible seems to contradict all of the anecdotal evidence that CPM-154 holds an edge better than S30V (and certainly better than standard 154CM). I wonder if it all has to do with how its hardened? CPM-154 seems to be run harder than 154CM and S30V more often than not, which might explain it.
