You've gotta lay it the other direction if you want a longer blade

You already committed...may as well baton it the rest of the way through. Making a split rail fence?
Haha. It’s actually on top of a railroad trestle. I put some force behind it just to make it stick and hit a split part. Blade went about halfway down before I hit anythingYou already committed...may as well baton it the rest of the way through. Making a split rail fence?![]()
I've be absent from this thread for a few months and have some catchin' up to do. I had resolved a while ago to treat myself to a nice mid-tech after receiving a few significant checks, but with so much production shut down with the quarantine I was having a hard time finding something with the features I sought in the several models I was considering. Instead, I bought 3 knives I'd wanted in the mid 100's and figured that was good. Of course I found a mid-tech I loved right after I received the third. Total lack of self-control....

Thanks, brother. I'm extremely pleased with this, my new Rainmaker, and the 247 Wayfarer I've had for some time now. I doubt they'll be my last either. Olamic's line-up is diverse, each model is available with almost limitless variations, and they're extremely cordial and responsive. Excellent knives from an excellent company. I just might be a bit of a fanboy....Beautiful knife sir!! I've always wanted an Olamic
Apparently we both like orange planters as well....I like rainmakers too

I had put some force behind it just to make it stick but up hit a spilt part in the wood. Blade went about halfway before I even hit anything solidThat thing is in there.... did you have to do a two hand removal?
