I’m looking to add a production framelock flipper to my collection.

Preferences:
-Under 5oz
-Under $400
-3.25-4” blade
-Smooth drop shut action
-Premium steel

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Zero Tolerance has some good flippers in the 200-250 price range.
Visit USA Made Blade, they support BF and are listed on the site.

One of the various forms of Reate would likely be your best quality in the parameters you described.

I just got a Valence GAMMA midtech that I'm very happy with. M390 steel and under $400

Edit: I have no idea if it's under 5oz, I can have it in the pocket of a suit no problem. Knife weight generally doesn't play a factor with me.

Maybe you should watch the used section of this forum and see if you can find an Olamic wayfarer or something for around $400.

I just picked up a WE Tyche that is pretty amazing. It's an integral construction, perfectly set inlays, M390 blade. Sorry about the funky pics, the colors turned out weird. Actually more blue in hand. There is another in gray.

That Tyche seems to be becoming quite popular.

Just a little over on weight, but the ZT 0562 is one of the smoothest flippers I've handled. Another option if the weight is a hard limit is the Northarm Knives Skaha. Action compared to a Grimsmo but for under $250.

I just got a Valence Sigma midtech that I'm very happy with. M390 steel and under $400

I want one. Is that the Gamma or the Sigma?

All that weight out near the tip of the blade...is the action as good as I'm hoping?

The Wayfarer 247 starts at $395.

Honestly, this thread can go on for pages, framelock flippers are hot and almost everybody is making them right now.

It's like saying "I want a fixed blade". Ok, well that really narrows it down:rolleyes:

In that case OP should consider getting a new Wayfarer.

Yeah you could fill a 10,000 page book written in size 2 font with just a list of every ti framelock flipper’s name.

What do you already have? Could probably give you some better recommendations if we knew.

That’s why I put preferences:rolleyes:

I don’t own any framelock flippers

Well we know you want something under 5 ounces so you probably want something more thin and lightweight rather than overbuilt.

Are you looking to spend 400$ or if possible would you consider a quality piece for less money if one were available. (Ie would you consider say a 230$ Zero Tolerance or are you looking for something more exclusive)
