Production Hiking Buddies and Runts have landed at USA Made Blade

Rick has made me some SUPER classy, pocket carry sheaths in the past; sheaths that look at home even in dress pants! I know he does a couple of varieties for pocket carry! I realize the Runt comes with fairly nice leather, just thought I'd want to dress mine up a little!

We have sold out of our first round of the black runts. Don't fear as we have more coming in a couple of days. They are up for order but just want be available to ship until Friday 04/24/2015!
 
I got my Hiking Buddy and really like it. The handle scales are very comfortable and the micarta very gripy . I will try not to repeat this often, but I do think that both the custom and production Hiking Buddy's would be even better in a guardless version. Andy probably has a reason for this design(and I believe he has made some customs guardless), but to me the knife just begs to be guardless. Still a fantastic little fixed blade as is and I love it.

+1 I've heard rumor of several folks making the guard much smaller. I may have to try it with one of the production models. Should get mine in the mail this afternoon.....
