I received an e-mail from Mary Emerson this afternoon. She was checking out the forums and saw our discussions on the "CommandAir".

Ernie is planning on introducing a production mini Commander, hopefully later this year.

She also mentioned that if is enough interest, we may be able to open back orders. I can't help but think that if there is an overwhelming response, maybe we can get it pushed up on the priority a tad.

One thing she stressed was "patients". As a personal note, I'd mention that "good things come to those that wait".

Yes, I'll take one. Thank you to the guys that came up with the concept and pushed it (Eric, John and David)!! Eric thanks for the reminder. I hated to miss Tac-Chat, but hope to make the next one.

Don't forget David. He started us on this tangent. Hmmmmm....he has been really quiet lately. Getting all situated with the move, David?
Anyway, yes, I will gladly take two CommandAirs or Baby Commanders or Mini Commanders or Commas or Palm Pilots or whatever they're being called this week. I'd like a satin plain AND a lefty bts, please. How about making a special run in full titanium? And Damascus?!!

At the risk of being redundant, here's some of my digital renderings that might give us a clue as to what these little Commanders might look like. http://www.betactical.com/Blades/CommandAir.htm

I'd like a satin, plain-edge please. I just recently got to experience the magic of The Wave for the first time and was wondering which model to buy. Now I have no doubt whatsoever. I offer my sincere thanks to all involved in this project.

Count me in! I prefer smaller knives for daily carry. I hope they make a left hand model. I'm afraid that I will get my custom CQC 5 by the time that they make the mini Commander. I wanted a mini CQC 7 but the shop said right hand models only. I wish that EKI was a little more left hand friendly. Some day I will get my 5.

Count me in. Plain edge, satin finish, OD Handle.

Regards,

Ed

Man, I don't know about a Mini-Commander, but as far as the Customs go, HELL YES! I want an ES1-M, BRING IT ON.

Add me to the list as well.

A 50/50 serrated satin blade, black micarta, handles will do just fine.

Two satin, plain edge for me. Good work amigos.

Count me in! I'll take a plain edge, satin finish. Thanks guys (John, Eric, and David) for getting the ball rolling, and helping to keep it that way!

And, of course, thanks to Mary and Ernie for deciding to give in to our begging and pleading!

Mary didn't have any information on price point yet.

Using the Mini-CQC7 as an unofficial guide post, the pricing is slightly less then a full sized CQC7. I can't help but think the Commander/Mini Commander with be similarly priced. Purely speculation on my part.
