So, I bought a few knives this year… :rolleyes: and for the most part, I feel that I’ve done okay. I think I bought more winners than losers, and just thought I’d share with the community some of my most favourite buys and a few of my greatest disappointments from the year to date...

For the WIN: :thumbup::D:thumbup:

Spyderco Delica 4 FFG (blue)—wicked awesome EDC.
Spyderco Sage 1—wicked awesome and classy EDC for any occasion.
Spyderco Para-Military 2—high performance, superb ergos. :cool:
Spyderco Kiwi 3—great affordable back-up blade.
Spyderco Dragonfly 2—mighty mite! Do not underestimate the power…
Benchmade 940—urban chic.
Ontario RAT-1—best value hands down.
Victorinox Rambler—best small keychain knife/tool ever!

Not my cup o’ tea: :thumbdn::grumpy::thumbdn:

Gerber Paraframe—O, the shame! It sucks donkey bollocks, period. :barf:
Gerber Crucial Tool—good idea but the driver bits lack reach.
Kershaw Blur—destroys pants with extreme prejudice.
Kershaw Leek—great knife, poor carry. Most unfortunate... :(
Victorinox Sentinel—feels cheap and blade rubs against the liners.

Anyone else care to share? Brag or confess... :D

I actually like my victorinox Sentinal. Its my primary picnic knife. Nice long, skinny blade is great for food and it's the least intimidating folder with a 4" blade that I have so its perfect around people.

My biggest disappointment was a Kissing Crane Model: Boy Scout I picked up. Super dull out of the box with a lot of blade play. Also, it was like it was coated with a gritty WD-40 mixture.

I also bought a Kershaw Leek that I have mixed feelings about. The knife looks, feels and deploys well, but its just a little to delicate for me. I accidentally dropped it on a carpeted floor and the very tip broke. My surprise quality purchase was a Sanrenmu 763 aluminum handle, I love this knife. I'm glad to hear good things about the BM 940, I want one so bad. Hopefully one of my family members will get me one as a college graduation present next summer :)
