Production Um num pics up at TNK

Great, thanks. Looks like the same thing other than the lack of writing on the handle. Does anyone see any other changes?

initially i thought there were some minor differences in the scale shape, but i think it was just the angles.

Feel free to put these in the first post so no need to click on any links.

I like it much more without the writing on the handle. I may have to get in the line :)

There are some small differences. The lock side is less grooved on the production model. The proto is also grooved on the lock bar for example. I think the new version will be softer against the pockets.

Only change I can see, other than those already mentioned, is that the face of the laynard pin's are different from proto to standard. Proto has a flat face and the standard has a concave face.

The point being...A very formatible knife! It should be extremely field worthy. Might even beat up a Strider... DOH! :eek::D

Am I understanding correctly that the front swedge is sharpened? It looks so much better without the lettering. All of my doubts have faded into the wind. This will be my next folder.

Time to start saving.

Yep that swedge is sharp.:thumbup::cool:;)

My prototype is sharp but NOT sharpened. I'm able to more tear through a piece of paper then cut. Though you could very easily put a scary sharp edge on it!
:thumbup:

Blackend:

The swedge is a more obtuse angle and certainly not sharpened like the main cutting edge. I didn't realize that is was sharpened until I ran my thumb over the edge. It wasn't obvious to me that the swedge was sharpened. I think it's a cool feature of this knife.:cool:
