Production Wortac

mb,

I had a great time at Blade Show talking with Kelly Worden and, immediately after that talk, I went over to the Timberline booth and spoke with the company folks who are producing this excellent design in two sizes - large and small.

They had a prototype of each on the table. I have to say that I was very impressed with the factory prototype - I had just handled a Crawford custom Wortac so the comparison was easy to make. This will be a great knife value when it hits the street. As I recall the Timberline people informed me that production pieces would be out late this year.

Hope this helps,

Kevin

I first panned Timberline's booth since I've usually associated them with 2nd rate stuff. But, Datu Worden insisted I see the new production Wortac. Fortunately, Timberline's booth was just maybe a hundred or 150 feet from Pat Crawford's table, so you could go back and forth and see both. I gotta say that I was seriously impressed with Timberline's implimentation of this knife. It's a liner lock and those are tough, but it locked up well. It's first-rate quality stuff.
