"Professional" attire suggestions for EDC

I think something like a Spyderco Jester would be perfect for this situation as they're small enough to keep anywhere you want, won't scare anyone, lockup and cut solidly and you have both stainless and FRN options too. The Cricket makes a great alternative too with the clip and slim profile. Just my 2 pence worth :)

I, too, like the Cricket, but every time I've used it in the office or other semi-public place, someone asks about the curved point. In my experience, it draws unwanted attention and curiosity.

Personally, I highly recommend the Jester. The colorful handles are "cheerful" and the knives themselves look more like toys than tools. That's what you want when you're dealing with sheeple.

I don't know what kind of knife you're looking for, but for a slim, light, EDC pocket knife I would look no further than Chris Crawford's EDC model. HIs website is http://www.chriscrawfordknives.com and I think his EDC model is $100-$120 or so and available in a few handle options. Plus he has tons of other great stuff there. I don't own one of his knives, but I know they are top notch quality and they'd look real sharp with a nice suit! :D

They do indeed look mighty nifty. I shall investigate further. Thanks for the tip.

Agreed cardimon. You're much better off with the Jester if you don't want to attract too much attention. People find them cute, rather than intimidating...like the appeal of saks really. The Spyderco's always have a much nicer feel though and single handed opening an admired touch.

might sound weird, but check out a Case Russlock. i like Case slipjoints quite a bit, and the russlock is a one-hand-opener of about the same size/appearance (looks like a slipjoint, but it opens one-handed and locks!). check it out here . i carry a case or an old timer in my dress slacks quite often.
my spyderco cricket works well in dress slacks too, and it's lighter & smaller than most slipjoints.
peace.
