Professional Soldier - the way I see it :)

One reason I am glad it does not have a handle is a flat knife is much easier to conceal than one with even a slim handle. The PS makes an excellent neck knife. I wore my nearly identical Swamp Warden and OST sheath(I don't have my PS yet) today with very light shorts and a Tshirt that could not even support a small folder but the knife under my Tshirt and above my wifebeater was ideal for such a hot day. While this set up is good for self defence what i find it best at is EDC.

This is my favourite type of blade ,the small fixed skelly handled with a GOOD kydex sheath. I have mine made by OST but the Bladetech looks decent. It has to be tough to remove to safely wear upside down.

I always use a ballchain so I don't choke myself. Good 550 cord can hold 550 pounds and has the strength to take your head clean off.

I love these types of knives and now I can have the big 3 my Strider ED Busse Swarden and a Chris Reeve PS:D Another awesome knife like this I love is the Spyderco Mule. I also have an Inyoni but it is to different a style.
I would love the Inyoni if not for the serrations.

Those sheaths look great. I like the balde design, but am not so hot on bare tang knives, I think adding scales, or at the least a cord wrap, would greatly enhance the knife.

I got a PS delivered to me in Pearl Harbor while my ship was alongside there. I'm home now and this is my third CRK.

I love the knife, but alas, I share the same complaints with the sheath. While it holds the knife very well I do find it difficult to draw and not a fan of at least having the hole layout to support some type of belt look, teclok anything really.

i'm going to be getting ahold of OST pretty soon I think so get her set up for some type of belt carry or attachment option other than having to tie or ziptie it.

Great knife otherwise.

I'd go without the shackle key feature, if I was skilled enough to fit a micarta handle through/to the handle. (An add on option Chris?)

I talked to Chris Reeve about this knife at the SHOT Show. I have to admit I was very excited when I got the chance to talk to him. I have owned four Sebenzas since around 1999 and was giddy at the chance to finally meet him. The first thing that caught my eye was the PS. I asked him specifically if a TEK-LOK with the sheath, he told me "no", this was designed for a soldier and he had no plans for a different sheath. I was very put off and surprised by his reaction. I thought to myself, it is the avid knife guy and not the military that elevated him to the status he enjoys today. The comments in this thread only reinforce what how I felt. I am not mad and still think CR builds the best bang for your buck folder. But I feel like the ugly girl whose prom date is now dancing with the prom queen.

Just a follow up post with some more sheaths for that knife

I've passed on the PS twice now- the sheath just keeps coming up as a deal breaker.

The OP's pics look great. PiterM, you could try selling that sheath to CRK since it is certainly a better design (or so it seems on the web) than the OEM unit.

Nice work.

I just bought that setup (piter's sheath also) and will piggyback it on my Busse FBM Sheath. Great little tool and just the right size. Also as a neck knife, its perfect.
I have no problems withdrawing the knife from either sheath and I have big hands. My experience with smaller blades used in kydex neck knife sheaths is that they fall out very easily. I'd rather have it very secure when its hanging over my vital organs and being designed for a "Soldier", I think CRK did great addressing this. All carry options are secure. The supplied sheath from Chris Reeve is perfection to me. I'd would not have bought the knife had it not been offered with secure kydex. Piter's sheath is equally perfect!
Well done Mr. Reeve and also Piter!

Just wondering how the PS is doing from those whom have owned one for a while? How does it feel after some in-hand use? Any hotspots form on the hands? Grip? Etc,..?

Not sure from the posts here PiterM, but curious are you selling your version of the sheath or is it available via bladetech?
