Is there a way to TURN OFF Profile Posts??? I do not need nor desire to receive these profile posts. There are just too many places to monitor and the number of postings I get on my profile page are too cluttered and confusing as they scroll off the page over time.
 
Click your name in the upper right hand corner. Then click Privacy. Under the "People Who May..." section, uncheck the box that allows people to post profile messages. That should do it.
 
Yep, go to Privacy and then de-select the box for posting to your profile page
