Project I in a saltwater environment

How would the Project I or any One Piece knife stand up to a saltwater environment like Tom Hanks experienced in "Cast Away?" The Kalgard should protect the blade but will the edge corrode excessively? Would the stainless steel Large Sebenza be a better choice despite being a folder? The movie affected me deeply and really got me thinking about survival knives.

If you clean the knife properly, it should hold up just fine. As always a little maintenance is needed to keep your gear in good working order. There is nothing like the "do everything for you without maintenance" tool/machine/etc. in this world. Especially when you're alone on an island, you have plenty of time to wipe your knife down once in a while
