Just to let those that don't go on the wilderness and survival forum know that I have had to change my user name to pitdog.....feel like a newbie again now !!!

if you had a membership, you could put a link to your old self in your signature line. as it is you could do that, but it would only be visible in your profile, as far as I know.

Yeah it stinks but it's my own fault for not updating my details.....it's done now anyway....pitman RIP !!!!

I bet if you pay some cash you can get the admins to change your old name and keep your old acount.

I'm confused. If you want to change your name and keep the same account (with post count) you can do that for $10, or if you're having difficulty logging on to your old account we can probably help you with that if you tell us what the problem is ... or if you just want to use a new account with a new name instead of paying the $10 there's nothing wrong with that....

OK it went something like this....My son tried to join BF and logged me out so that he could. I had forgotten my password and so couldn't log back in . I had also changed e-mail addy as I am now living in Canada and so they would not e-mail my password to my new e-mail addy. There may have been others ways around it but the simplest way seemed to just re-register under a different name !

Yup, if you both fail to keep your email address up to date and fail to remember your password, all you can do is open a new account.

if you use firefox, and had it log you in automatically, you should be able to find your password. Not sure about IE.
