I have built a veturi burner and when it was all done I hooked it up to the propane hose and tank and I light it and I get some flame but I can't adjust the flame at all! there's only a gentle flame coming out of the burner no matter how high I turn the tank and valves up it's getting really annoying I can't figure out whats wrong for the propane hose I'm using the kind that you use on a BBQ and I have some needle and ball valves on it I REALLY() need some help any ideas?
Thanks

High Temp Tools and Refractory sells the entire assembly at a very reasonable cost. It has the right regulator, a pressure gauge, a shut-off valve and a nice long propane hose. Thety carry all supplies neede for building forges and such.

Another issue you may have is if you open the valve on the tank quickly you pop a safety in there. It then only lets out a small flow and you get what you describe. If you're directly connected to the tank, not through a grill regulator, that's what you're probably experiencing. The solution is to close your valve on the venturi end, then close the tank valve. Now let it sit a few minutes and GENTLY ease the valve open just enough to hear it flowing, let pressure equalize and then slowly continue opening the valve. The safety trips on the "pop" of full pressure being released into the hose which is previously at atmospheric pressure only. It is designed to keep someone from accidentally venting a propane tank at full pressure with nothing attached.
