You might as well start selling things now...find a good divorce attorney...start stealing F5 replacement keys from you friends computers...steal, beg or borrow as much coffee as you can get....start looking for a job that has a minimum of a T1 connection...or quit your current job and fake disability to stay home and on line more....and of course, be prepared to stomp, push and shove any man, woman or child that gets in your way of the trough!

LOL! But it’s also lots of truth in that! When I received my FBMLE, I realized that the LE versions really look great! So automatically I went to the BCS with the intention of placing an order for yet another BATAC- a BATACLE. But sold out! I guess that’s just for the better, since I am already over budget. :eek:

Oh, yes- in your e-mail you have to also include 3 different potential Hog names for you.

uh huh, yup. the whole thing has left me a bit confused. :confused:

I hope it doesnt become a "Buy a Busse, become an automatic Hog" thing. I mean this with all due respect, but its getting watered down quick. Hammy has a good "What is a Hog" definition and it speaks it all very well, I'll find it. Hopefully. :o

an incredibly digested version is, participation in the community, passion for the knives, its not the quantity or the quality. Its earned, by most, through a long term participation in the groups, helping new piglets, mentoring those who dont get it, posting an "atta boy" for someones new aquistiton even though being jealous as heck. ;) It takes time and effort and its very special when your recognized by the man himself. I will always cherish my induction, Jerry, the AK47, me and the local sheriff. Yup! Its just too wacky NOT to have been right on spot. :D

That being said, some might not ever get to Blade (I'm wondering if I'll EVER make it!!! :o ) for the official stuff, and theres a lot of people here that deserve Hogdome and thats where the online induction comes in.

Interesting! Then it looks like I am a PIG with parts of a HOG behavior!

Ok, as of today- I have only 3 Busse: Skeleton GW, BATAC and FBMLE- as posted in my initial message in this thread. But when I bought my BATAC, I sneaked it in at home and told my wife it’s just an old knife I have had for a long time. :)

Then the postman came with my GW. I was at home and my wife was busy. So I never said anything, since she never even saw the package! ;)

When I ordered the FBMLE, I carefully planned it in such way the cost of the Christmas present to my wife was about the same level. When she later asked me: “How much did that monster knife cost you?”- I just said: “It was way cheaper than your Christmas present!”. After that no more questions. :p

Then yes- I am stalking the forums night and day and surfing the net for possible sources of INFI. Currently it affects both my work and family life!!! :eek:

I have my moments when I come to my senses and tell myself that I should lay low now and save some money. Then after a while, I am on the net again hunting for more! So far I am only 8 weeks into the INFI madness and I am very afraid where this will lead me- financially! :(

Its a good start. :) I've been at it since 2000, took several years to make certified Hog.

My wife just gets that slightly irritated look and rolls her eyes when I start perching on the mail box waiting for INFI, and I chase down the mailman for A2 deliveries. :o The first Busse I got was a Steel Heart E, dang it was hard to let go of that 300 bucks, now I'd kill for a 300.00 SHe. :p
 
well i guess it will take me awhile to be a HOG.

i just got my GW 1 and half months ago (first busse) and i am already going to buy a FBM (maybe a AD and a MS insted there the same price about.) the only thing is i am very yong (14) and i don't have the money like some of you have, buying 20-30 peices! but it is a good investment if i had the money i would defenently do the same (but i would probably save some of that for a car:D)

but once i get a job i will split my money 3 ways College, Car, and INFI. after i buy the car i will have to get gas tho... maybe i will ride and bike insted :p more INFI that way. and college i already have $12,000 in scholorships! so when it all comes down to it i will be spend most if not all my paycheck on knives.

so it may not take me so long i just need a source of income and i am set.
 
Boar-gen, welcome and congrats on some great knives. You will not be sorry about getting the FBMLE. Meaning it is probably the best knife purchase you have or will make in a long time. :thumbup::D
Next order I'm gonna get me a set of shot glasses and thanks for the dark room advice. The only place to spill single malt is down your throat.:D

Get in for the long haul, get what you can as you can afford it and your collection will grow. Your education and life come first. You're certainly well ahead of me when I was 14. I had one cheap knife of unknown manufacture at that point.:grumpy:
 
Thank you very much! I agree- the FBMLE is one of a kind! Never seen anything like it! Same goes for my BATAC. I will soon attack our Christmas tree! ;)
