proper post-heat treat grind on thin blades?

Back before I had my KMG and I was grinding a thin blade after HT, I would hang a water hose above my grinder. I'd only turn it on high enough for a steady drip, but that's all I needed. I found this to be a good solution to my problem of having a grinder that ran too fast and heated steel way too hot. Gotta make sure your belts can handle grinding wet though. Just an idea
