Proper way to use the needs work?

Definitely not between your toes! Tried that and it sucked.:) I kind of use a pinch grip with my index finger wrapped underneath, but I have large hands.

What's the proper way to hold the needs work when cutting something?
I think that holding it in your hand, with your fingers wrapped-around the handle, with the blade locked open would be proper.:D.:D.

sounds good to me. your grip will vary depending on the cutting task at hand. I'm sure you'll figure it out soon.

Not to hijack the thread (though this is related to it) - - what do you think of the handle size on the Needs Work ? I usually wear gloves sized XL and prefer longer handles or a finger choil so I can get more hand around the knife. Is the handle on the Needs Work o.k. for larger hands ? (I do like Wharncliffe style blades so this got my attention as a possible first Kershaw.) Thanks, - - -

It is pretty much a three finger handle for most larger hands. I don't have Chewbacca hands or anything, but this is what it looks like in my hand:

Thanks NYGiantsFan - - I appreciate it :) It might be a little shorter than I usually prefer, but think I'll still try one out. Regards, - - -
