I was born in 83… yep I had pink, purple, green… probably 15 or so all on a big clamp style ring. I did not know they were real until later in life. And I questioned my mother about why she allowed it to happen 🤣

From the Wikipedia article on rabbit’s feet:

”Rabbit's feet, either authentic or imitation, are frequently sold by curio shops and vending machines.”
I have to assume the ones sold in vending machines and on cardboard displays were mostly synthetic.

I had a white rabbits foot on my keychain during my younger years. It complimented my truck.

78 Scottsdate 1/2 ton, 2WD, two-tone green with white, 350 4bbrl with strait cherry bombs. Yosemite Sam "Back off" mudflaps, twin CB whips and a Cobra 2-way (and a intercom horn) Radio Shack speakers and Pyramid cassette deck. Full running boards and running lights on the boards and roofline.

Purple fuzzy dice mandatory.

What a gaudy and sweet ride. I miss that thing!

Funny true story. My cousin is a handful of years older than me. My mom told me this story. Back in the 60's he was running around the neighborhood showing off his "lucky rabbits foot". Finally, one of the moms called my Aunt and told her Freddy was going around with a tampon hanging off his belt loop!

Same here, although as cheap as those were, I doubt they were killed just for the feet. Probably left over from either meat or fur industry.
I remember I had one that I'd rub for luck. After a while, I wore some of the fur off it and saw there was actually bone under there! Quite surprising because everything else from gumball machines was made of plastic, at best.

Back on topic: I bet we'll see a bunch of members having them re-handled in various materials. I don't mind Delrin, but look forward to seeing what the knife modders come up with. Blackwood, jigged bone...Glitter Gold would be nifty!

Je ne participe pas beaucoup car je ne suis pas à l'aise avec la langue mais je suis sur le forum très régulièrement et j'adore les GEC .
I don’t participate a lot because I am not comfortable with the language but I am on the forum very regularly and I love GEC .

Aussi, personne va t’emmerder si ton Anglais n’est pas parfait. Mème nous les Anglophones écrivons n'importe quoi de temps en temps 🤣.
