  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Props To.....

Watching Chuck do finger twirls in front of the Benchmade table in Eugene (after watching his excellent presentation in the side room, (and just missing Clay the previous day--darn) got me hooked. If I recall correctly, there were a couple of prototypes on the Benchmade table with titanium handles--they were going to call it the forty-two or something. Prior to this I only passively looked at the several tables in front of the stage (in the old building) filled with balisongs (forty-fives, etc.). After all, they'll be around for a while.

Here's my voice adding to the rest.

Though not just for Chuck and Clay, there's at least a dozen people around here that majorly contribute not only to forum members, but to the balisong world itself. Hell.. this *is* the balisong world.

Then there's also all the custom makers. While I know they do it because it pays, (because we're willing to) I'm sure they also do it for the love of the art.

So here on New Years, I applaud them and the rest of you.

I didn't get into balisongs because of any of this, and I'd still be into them even if there wasn't this community and the support that glows from it.. but it sure as hell makes things easier and more interesting.

Happy new year all.

Cyanke.
