Please post a link to the reporting of this incident so I know it is for real.

I don't understand why he can't ask a perfectly reasonable question.

Nobody said he can't ask. People are just discussing and speculating. Why "can't" they do that as well?

He must not be a very competent prosecutor if he has to rely on a bunch of internet knife guys to prove his case. There are far better ways to search for the truth.

Hey, not so fast. Maybe we can collectively work a deal to appear as expert witnesses. We could get our expenses covered, plus a per diem. The judge could set up a PC and a big monitor, and the jury could log in and read our posts on the subject.
I think we would probably need to "suppress" some of the avatars, though. And if the thread ends up in Pirate's Cove, we can kiss the whole gig goodbye..

You would think something like this would be reported in a local newspaper or something. But I ran a search on google and it came back empty handed.

According to the American Bar Association, there is no member named Leffler in the state of Ohio.

You can check it out on www.abanet.org

I don't know about all that fancy legal search stuff. I just stuck his name in Google and found a bunch of articles and websites referring to him as being the a prosecutor in Ohio.

Toledo Blade 9/11/04. "Foster Father arrested in girl's stabbing death."

Search Google: 11 year girl ohio death + exact phrase "foster father" + "stabbing OR stabbed"

I've been training in blade oriented martial arts for approximately 20 years, and have been involved in criminal investigations for 19 years. From your description and without a background investigation of the little girl (very sad) including mental history, prescription/drug use, report from the coroner, other medical history, I wouldn't hazard any speculation or certainly attempt to offer a report or credible statement. There are far too many reasonable variables to reconcile without nearly enough information provided.

Best wishes on your mission.

You don't have to be an ABA member to be a licensed atty. I stopped when my dues went up to $350.00 per year.

Thanks for the updated info. I don't know why I wasn't able to find that on the same site.

I stopped when I figured out that they were a bunch of socialist, feminazi loons who gave Anita Hill an award and who promote "gender equity", skin color issues and other horsehockey at the expense of common sense. :)

I also think the original poster is a fake.

best regards

You can say that again.;)

Maybe it's the foster father seeing if his "suicide" alibi works on us common folks (i.e. a group of his peers).

I was just about to post the exact same thing!

The spelling issue is meaningless. I know lots of educated people that can't spell or write worth a darn. Pharmacists, doctors, dentists, it doesn't matter. Just because their grammer and spelling sucks doesn't make them a fake.

For cryin' out loud! Our President once asked: "Is our children learning?" John Stewart's reply was, "No, they isn't". Just because our President can't utter a sentence correctly without a planned speech writer there to coach him doesn't mean he didn't graduate from Yale though: Law school wasn't it?

No one I see frequenting here can really point the finger when it comes to the proper use of the English language IMO.

That could be. Maybe someone should E-mail the real Russ Leffler and find out.
