Prosthetic technology, your body and your thoughts on both

You guys all need to check out the Fox series Fringe. It's a show about "fringe science" the on the edge, real ideas that are on the boundary of reality itself. I enjoy it.

Anyways, I'm all for strength speed and super intellect, but I wouldn't want upgrades. I'm more of an improve yourself than be improved.

How about if you fell under a dump truck and lost your dominant leg and someone said they had a replacement that was actually an improvment over the original? Would you still walk away?
 
Even though I'm fat and ugly, I'll stick with what God gave me!
Of course, if I lost a limb or had my face ripped off I wouldn't hesitate to have a prosthesis made to replace the original.
I don't even see anything wrong with harvesting tissue and organs from deceased people. I'm an organ donor myself and when I kick it, they can have anything they want.
Have you guys heard anything recent about full face transplants?
It was a hot topic 3-4 years ago but I haven't heard anything about it since.
