Hard to go wrong when the best of the best come together and release such a collaboration. The result is something better than the original. This limited edition "custom mid tech" is a true piece of Protech history and with SS and G10 makes one wonder what kind of longevity can be expected of the all aluminum standard models with the handle doubling as a stop pin also. Sweet action, comfortable grip, and a slight heft that lends itself to greater efficiency with any chopping task yes slices like a razor. Thank you Protech, Thank you Strider.
Own 2, passing on 1 to share the love and enjoyment. New in Box w/paperwork $Traded

Love these Strider Protech’s and owning one in SS myself I can attest to the ultra high quality and performance......simply amazing craftsmanship.

Many people have asked "what is the deal with the manual action?" . The manual action is fantastic if so desired a manual knife and the SA5 can definitely stand on its own up against any in this regard.

Manual OR auto with regards to how the Protech Strider SA5 fares against the original Strider SNG, here's 7 reasons why the SA5 comes out on top:

  1. Most important blade thickness - has the perfect thickness like a Sebenza to slice and cut nearly anything and can be honed to super sharp lazer edge. Meanwhile the Strider SNG is good for looks and a thick chunk of steel in the pocket but faires horribly for normal tasks slicing an apple for ex. It's thickness is not the most practical.

  2. Super strong detent - the Strider SNG can weaken over time and accidentally open when dropped or in pocket while the SA5 will never open accidentally

  3. Button lock - Arguably the strongest out there with much less potential to weaken/fail over time than a liner or frame lock.

  4. Button lock - Keeps the fingers out of the way when closing un like a frame lock.

  5. Pocket clip - Much nicer action and less snag on the all SS smooth backscale w/ ti clip in and out of pants than regular Strider SNG w/ cutout for frame lock design

  6. Less parts - Original SNG has washers and overtravel stop, detent ball, etc. while none of these exist with the SA5, just simple , strong, what is needed

  7. Pivot - No funky pivot needing special tools to adjust and disassemble with the Protech Strider unlike the SNG

Thanks Gilbert,

Looking forward to getting this one, and thanks for working with me on the trade !!
