Protortype: back in my former life, before retirement, I had a secretary who called any new model by this word, I have since found it difficult to pronounce the word prototype any other way. I built this little knife because I was given a large block of canvas MIcarta and wanted to give it a try on a test knife. It turned out kind of drab as you can see so I will probably use the Micarta for other pruposes. This is my normal build with proper heat treating on 52100 steel so it will make a fine working knife with a not so classy handle.
Stock removal from 52100 high carbon steel
Flat grind
Heat treated to Rc 60 with a talcum powder size grain structure
Black canvas MIcarta handle with a brass guard
Overall length: 7 inches
Blade: 3 1/4 inches
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
Sold delivered within our United States. I am reluctant to post my email address because I got phished here once costing $250. Please message me for shipping and payment options.
