Prototype "Steadfast EDC" and KIT layout...random thoughts on EDC gear

just about everything in that kit, down to the tarp, light and knives, already reside in my little CamelBak MULE. Glad to see I was 'right' on so many items.

Looks great and is specifically designed for all of those thing rather than making my own in a backpack. I want one when they come out as long as price is reasonable and competitive with other USA made offerings.

$85 and shipping for a 6 1/2" x 10" x 5" pouch. I don't know how that compares to other pouches on the market. No mention on the seller's website of the weight. But it looks well thought out with a lot of features in such a small package and must be pretty expensive to produce. EDC though? Does anyone who isn't on a wilderness rescue team really carry all the stuff shown evey day? Just curious.

Thanks for mentioning that..the Steadfast EDC pouch comes in just over 1lb.2oz. A little background on it... 2.5 years to design and test. We made lots of prototypes and experimented with different materials and rolled goods from a variety of US manufacturers. We were picky and use 7 different makers of products from mil-spec thread to solution 1000D dyed cordura. Each bag is handmade here in the US using domestic products. Lots of construction features that add to the durability.

We designed the pack to be universal and tested it with lots of products we have either used or came on a good recommendation. Its designed to be used as an organizer to fit into BDU pockets, attached to pals grid, thrown in backpack, car, some glove boxes, or with a sling. We have developed a couple of small-medium sized pistol holster inserts, map insert, as well as some leather-kydex inserts. The main point being that it gives the end user lots of options to orient the bag in a manner that works for them. I have outfitted the bag to carrying my ccw pistol, medical kit, and basic survival kit, not all at once but depending on what I am doing it gives me options. From a personal perspective I tend to travel lite, because space can be tight at times, especially with 4 kids and a wife who packs everything for one night. The main reason is that I like to be prepared with tools I may need while looking discreet.

I carry a knife on duty and some other misc. small items, however I seem to always carry a small kit in my backpack or car. I work and play in the outdoors and have found a need at some point in my professional and personal life for the items I carry.
I am wanting to get some exposure and feedback on this product so feel free to email me with any questions about doing a passaround, forum member discounts etc.
