Prototype

Hey John,
What colors are you going to offer for the G10?

black
blue
digital camo
orange
pink
jade ghost green (shown on prototype)
OD green
red
tan
yellow

These would only be for the one handle, the other would be titanium.

Your`s will be serial #1, thanks!

Wooot! I am very excited about the new JK Ti Framelock! To get #1 is just icing on my Titanium cake!

Thanks John

Scales will be beveled, and they will have a satiny brushed finish. Still in the air on the pocket clip, drilling and tapping those tiny holes have me a bit worried, but who knows!

Hi John -

Consider that you could use the pivot screw and the pivot-end structural screw, and make a clip that would also act to prevent lockbar over-travel.

Here is what I envision for a simple, hopefully fairly easy to make, deep-carry, fold-over pocket-clip:

Well - not the best drawing, but you get the idea - you would have to leave a hole in the clip on the front so you could put the pivot screw through.

Hi John -

Looking' sweeet!

What is the thumb-stud made from? It really looks nice on the knife.

Love how the K is right there too - where's my drooling smiley???

8-32 SS allen bolt.

Nice, very nice! I'm VERY interested in this. I'm with BKDuck, gotta see how it turns out.
-I think I'll have to be sending out and Email here in the next day or two. 4 1/2" handle version, either DigiCam or Jade Ghost (I'm torn). Pocket clip preferred.

I`ll be posting the specs and details on Sunday, along with completed photos. Mine won`t have a pocket clip (yet) but I will have one in the works. Believe me, like all my knives, this one will be overbuilt for toughness. There is an extremely lot of extra work, and hand fitting, in these compared to making a fixed blade, but I`m hoping the time involved will pay off. I`ve spent a lot of time making filing jigs for the pins and bushing, I`ll be heat treating those along with the blade tomorrow. This has been a challenge for me, but I`m glad I took it!

looks great John -- I really like that blade shape.
if it's not too much trouble, you should keep the option to make some of these "wronghanded" for those of us in our right minds.

I plan on doing right and left hand models, it`s no extra work.
