Protruding omega spring

Maybe you have an extremely ridiculously high expectation of sharp, but being able to cleanly shave and easily slice thru phone book paper is in my book very sharp.

Did you not see the picture I posted of the blade with a ring of burr attached to it? Is Benchmade not one of the top knife manufacture? So it's ok for them to not finish sharpening their knives and hand them out and I should be happy and grateful for that because it's a Benchmade premium product? Mind you this came straight from their warranty dept. not off production line.

I would love to be on the selling end doing business with you. ;)

You should ditch production knives and go for a custom. You'll have to pay custom prices but you'll get attention to minutiae. If that is too much, split the difference, and for a couple hundred dollars more than the 940-1, you can have a CRK with perfect f&f and an S35VN blade. Best of luck.

I give a +1 to Jazub's post. We have to remember that these are factory production knives; even on the best of days there can be issues. I've often wondered how many minutes are allowed for each build. In my business I have good and bad days, we all do. Warranty repairs can fix most, if not all of the issues...but if the details drive you and me nuts, maybe a custom Is the way to go. And on sharpening knives, they deliver a good edge typically; but I always give my Edge Pro the final say on the outcome.
