Proud 303 - Cadet carriers

Very nice thread! Buck has a very ice way about their blade shapes... I. E. The Vantage series. Keeps me interested in them!

Don't,

I think that gold is nice, but it brings up the question to me, can those pearl scales be dyed ? Your photo of the three pearls is my photo, the grey scale may actually have a white scale on the other side, I will have to look to check them. I am thinking of finding a cheap white scaled one and seeing if a home dye job is possible ?? So maybe be careful paying premium for odd bright colors till we know.....

I carry a couple of 303's. But I also carry their cousins from Remington and Camillus.:D

Great thread. For about as long as I can remember my Dad has carried a pre in house 303 Buck. For years around my birthday we have gone to Eastern Washington trout fishing. Out of respect for my Dad years back I bought myself a Buck 303 and continued to take it on our fishing trip each year. This year I slipped the 303 in my watch pocket, 301 and 110 in my bag and headed east. To me in life there are a few things that have a sound that is hypnotizing like a mountain lion cry, Ruger old model three screw and an old Buck 110. First day out fishing just enjoying the trip and I hear a “snap and click”. I look at my Dad and he is holding a Buck 110. What? How long you had that? A long time he said. I examine it and my Dad has a 4 dot 110. What a surprise maybe that is where I got the bug and never knew until I was way past 50. Sorry no picture of the 303, I did get one of the 110 but not set up to post.

If anyone owns both the 303 and 301 of todays production, is there a difference in pull/snap between the 303 and 301 or do they basically feel the same?

Here;s ya a couple more old 303's.. Just happened to be cleaning out the miscellaneous junque drawer.

I just recently got one. Love it.
To me, it's same size as all my Schrade 34 OT's, which is just right!
I also have 2, 301's and a 302 Solitaire.

I do not think the 301 is to light. I have bigger hands and also push the 301 into thougher duty at times.

Hi 300,

I have been looking for the gray & black pearl 303's for a while and have not had any luck. I have only seen your pictures of them. I sure wish someone would help me locate the pair. Hope you don't mind me using your picture.
