Sharp but not as sharp as the main edge... It is much sharper than the one on my Next Gen KaBar...

This seems to be the blade many people have chosen as their first ESEE. Me personally, it was my second (HEST just hit a primal switch with me when I saw it), but definitely the most versatile. Small enough for many, many tasks that need finesse, but still chops/batons pretty well.
