Yvsa:

Thanks for the mention of that Grizzly safe. For some reason I missed those when thumbing through the catalog. Definately can't build anything that secure for $300 and this is cheaper than comparable safes around here. Also, I could put some guns in there. Right now all guns are "secured" just short of being encased in a cement block.

Theft isn't a main concern, but meddling little hands are at this point. A while back #1 Son crawled under the bathroom sink and unhooked all the pipes and fittings with his bare hands. I had to use a pipe wrench to put everything back together.

cliff - yours sounds just like mine.

Both my boys like Daddy's swords a little too much - so I got them some of their own....wooden swords.

I have child locks on my doors. The 3 yr. old tried them out when we got them a year ago and couldn't defeat it - so he just accepted it. As soon as kid #2 (now 16 mos.) could reach the door - he tried 'em out too...and busted them all right in half. Amazing kid. When he broke his leg last December - didn't even cry. Cast didn't slow him down either.

Kid #1 - gets his shots and cries for 2 days. Gotta love 'em.

On topic:

Right now, my khuks are all in 3 boxes:

1 - keepers
2 - "in progress"
3 - finished & ready to sell

Only one of the khuks I posted here was snatched up, so I'll be polishing up the rest and setting up a table at the Hammer-In next week. I don't think I'll sell many, but I'll sure enjoy the looks on folk's faces when their eyeballs pop out walking past my table...:D

Dan, can you post a list of the ones you are going to send to new homes? And can anyone suggest a way to display two khuk's on a wall, crossed, but easily removed for use? At present that's all I have. For now. :D

Glad to be of service.:D It really is a good deal. And if your wife, mate, spouse or whatever doesn't like the color it can be spray painted or even rolled or brushed the color of your/her choice.
If you do that I recommend an oil base paint.;)

Mine are all hanging on a wall. When I redid my house I put new barn siding on walls instead of drywall. Now I can hang anywhere without worring about finding a stud.

My sons gave me the Model 3030 10 gun cabinet for Xmas years ago, Unfortunately it is no longer listed. Check out the below site. It is much lighter than the grizzly but still good sized and a pretty secure cabinet. I have my firearms stored in this plus Khukuris until it is jammed. Big mess to get to a particular firearm or khukuri that I want to look at. But , it does a good job. I'm going to get the Grizzly for extra storage.

BEWARE: FREE SHIPPING, does not apply to the gun cabinets, as they are only shipped by common carrier.
