Had this little altoids knife left over from my last batch. I hammer finished it, and let it sit in some ferric chloride in the annealed state. Acid etches soft steel alot differently. It ended up looking and feeling exactly like a piece of rock. I heat treated and tempered this blade yesterday, and it now has made its own camouflage, almost snake like. It has a very organic and natural feel to it. Very unique.
I still have yet to put an edge on this little fella. Wanted to make it available before I took off today.
Specs:
Aldo's 1095 - 1/8 - 1in wide
OAL - 4in - blade length - 1 3/4in
Heat treated in my new digitally controlled Evenheat - 60-61rc
Very fine Scotchbrite satin finish
Chisel grind w/ back bevel - Razor sharp.
Altoids tin included - Sheath not available.
Asking $35
USPS Shipping/delivery confirmation is on me. CONUS
Paypal preferred.
