Any one here have any experiance obtaining antibiotics for survival use? I am allergic to penicillin so would need a chemical substitute(erythromyocin is what i usually end up with). Will a doctor write a perscribtion for meds one who isnt necessarily using at the time?Do they expire over time? I rarely end up using antibiotics since the alternatives a generally pretty harsh, and therefore have a pretty strong resistance to infection(my body has learned to the work for me) but just to be safe ive been thinking it would be good to get some for my FAK. Any advise?

if you already have a relationship with a MD, he MIGHT.

i myself dont worry too much about antibiotics. i learned in the army (many years ago) to: stop the bleeding and keep em breathing. almost any infection can be treated later at a hospital.

obviously, treating for hypothermia or shock comes into play as immediate concerns besides bleeding and breathing.

I don't have any experience with this place, but came across it a while back.

Apparently if you're planning on going on an outing and you might find yourself in a situation where local medical assistance may not be available he can prescribe various meds that you may end up needing.

Obviously this isn't so useful regarding the assembly of a bug out bag where you're not planning a scheduled trip though...

my mom doesn't have health insurance so i get her meds from here:

never had a problem with them. they've got a good selection of antibiotics too - be sure to rotate your stock. you don't want to take antibiotics after they've expired
