I've scaled back to one container + a couple of external bags attach to the outer molle webbing of my pack. The reason was that two containers took a bit too much room in the pack and I needed that realestate for things like food and clothes. However, the great value of the medium L'n'L containers is that they fit perfectly in the 2nd compartment of my falcon II.

They aren't as rough and tumble as an otter-box or pelican case. However, they are a lot lighter. If you envision backing your car over your pack then these things aren't going to be right for you. However, they will survive a tumble on your pack. They might become brittle in very cold conditions, but I've used them in below freezing (-5oC), opened them up and flexed them without any problems. At -40oC they probably won't survive being opened up. Better get Magnussen-made kit for that extremity :D

If you have an Asian supermarket nearby go look and you'll find Stainless Steel contianers similar to the the Aluminum ones for a 3rd of the price in different sizes .. Fit BDU pocket:thumbup:

I keep hearing about these "Asian" places, all we got is Mexican markets.

For me the locking tabs did break off on one on the first try. The Rubbermaid Lockits, available in the same places but not in the really small sizes I find more useful, are better built in the same price range. Hopefully they will come out with the smaller sizes too. I find them especially good for kayaking.

I have a few of those..... They are definatly worth it. Nice sturdy containers.

Ive been carrying this setup for awhile now (about a year), and love it.

Clear window tin, and a BDU pocket orginizer from countycomm for the PSK, I also carry the same tin for my FAK. Nice tins!
