Hey I like my Altoids tin,and it rules the world of psk but...
If you want something that will hold a little more and longer objects a hard eyeglass case works well.

What I really like about them is they go unnoticed,in the office or school at your neighbors pool party, doesn't get a second glance.Hey they're even made to be carried in pockets(rounded corners and edges).

One drawback is the calmshell shape spilts the top and bottem into two equal halves, which makes it harder to stack things. One could use a rubber band or put things into a ziplock bag first I guess.

I knew someone who used to conceal a NAA mini revolver in one. Left it right in the center console. Who would know. How about the garage door opener attached to the visor.

Sorry you were talking about survival kits.

Yuppers, that's what I use for my PSK. It's a thin walled aluminum sunglass case that I managed to stuff with all sorts of things. The only drawback is the clamshell design, as Lone Hunter mentioned, but it's a good compromise for the extra space.

What I'd like to get is something that is of titanium around the same size so that I can cook more confidently with. That would be cool. The closest thing I can find from a quick search on the web are PDA cases in titanium at about 0.8" thick...they could work but very expensive for a PSK.

they make glasses cases were just one end opens up and you slide your specs in and out. A company called 'GO' makes something called a 'Splashbox' but I dont know if their available in the States. And their plastic as well, but they are waterproof. I found a smaller version at:
www.justfax.co.uk
go to search and type in 'Splashbox'. I couldnt find a picture of the larger one I'm thinking about.
hope this helps
D.
