Psu

This has been hard in Pa no doubt. The punishment handed down to the football team is severe, and it had to be. I know there is some debate about how u can't hurt the kids, but that isn't what it is about. It is about the institution getting hurt - mo bowl games,no conference championship games- those are going to cost Psu serious money. If the ncaa doesnt punish the program, that perhaps sends the message that football is indeed calling the shots. The fine itself I thought should of been 100 million.

I am awaiting to see how this will play out with the higher ups that knew information - and now word is that governor Corbett might of been involved in a capacity - that could be interesting.

+10 to your comment.

A historical crime deserves historical punishment. Sandusky is paying up, and will likely croak behind bars, especially based on his current age. Joe Paterno is no longer among the living, but for a man that embraced the leadership role he has over there, he let an issue like this slide for 10+ years. I read through the Freeh report, and never found one excerpt where Paterno asks how the victims are doing. Same goes for the other leadership fodder. All they seem to be interested in the end is the reputation of the school and the program. How one can be so emotionally disconnected from children being molested and sexually abused is disturbing. I hope the other trustees involved go down hard.

It may suck for now (and the next four years), but this is a hard reset to a football program that forgot its role as an educational institution: to guide the youth to productive roles in society.
