Just happened to take one of mine out of hybernation and saw rust spots. I'd say the raw dimpled INFI is quick to rust. I didn't have it in my safe yet.

Not a problem for the one I'll use, but don't want the one I'm socking away in a safe to 'change it's spots' :)

Maybe some Ren-Wax instead? The Bully recommended that to me on a satinized SR-101 blade...

I noticed the same thing, I got six at Blade and kept two, I looked at them today and they had some rust on them! I haven't had that problem on any other INFI knife, I wonder whats up? Anyone else have it?

I fitted a JH to a Spec-ops sheath using boiling water cause I couldn't find my heat gun...

After just a short time...like minutes it had some rust spots. The kind of thing that came off with a rag and some wd-40.

Cleaned it up, found the heat gun and finished it that way...

No problems since then.

I have a satin fatty Warden that apparently came with a few INFI dimples on one side of the blade. I pulled it out the other day and found rust just in/around the dimples. A little Flitz and then some Tuff Glide and the rust hasn't returned. Am thinking of sanding out the dimples or maybe just sending this one to Ban for a little grinding and edge mod.

As for the Comp. Grades, I didn't keep any. Jack Hammer and Hell Razor just aren't my style of knife. As for the SARsquatch, I was more enamored with the black linen scales on the coated version. Same convex edges. Just not as apparent on the coated SARsquatches.

My Squatch is fast to turn into a redhead when not in use. Faster than any other INFI for me.

Interesting... Do you guys think the Squatch has a bit more carbon in the steel? Could it be a different composition?

Yep, just checked my SAR CE and it had a litte surface rust in one spot.

Came off easy since caught in time....thanks for the heads up:thumbup:

When I'd gotten back to CO from Blade, my CE JH had some surface rust and corrosion on the CBT's.

Cleaned right up with some WD, but yes, watch the CE's !

I guess i'm gona turn my Squatch in to a red-headed slut..

You'll need some henna rinse and some really good handcuffs.

I have found that if you kind of polish the Blade on the Compitition Finish or bead blasted or satin finish blades the rust hardly at all. Nothing for the rsut to stick to.

Had a stainless folder (SMF) rust on me at Atlanta, when I got home I finished out the Blade & have had no problems since then.

Also my CF Squatch has not rusted at all since I polished the Blade.

What Mr. Brown said

When I was cleaning up my JH, I used WD and a scotch bright pad to clean up the GBT's. Gave it a warm satiny :D finish, but it now appears much less susceptible to corrosion

....... meaning, it ain't growd no more stuff :D
