Joe congrats could not happen to a better more deserving guy. Just remember us little people.:D:thumbup: can't wait to get my Mandt (talk about crickets chirping):D

WOW...just checked the website out! Congratulations Joe! Those are certainly worthy of a magazine appearance. They both look superb and the sheaths are equally nice.

can't wait to get my Mandt

If I had the money, I'd bet $5 that the frog button on the Paul Long sheath would be the only difference between ours. But that money is being split between my Mandt on order and a field knife from Phillip.

I'm glad for you, Joe, and I'm not surprised. You had a very visual package and the editor thought so too.

BTW, KW has a policy of only allowing a maker's work shown once a year. This is a nicely fair system. You win!

That is a fair system and the timing wasn't bad either:D

LOL......between all of the traveling that I did and the time when everything else got put on hold for my abportive JS test, I kinda fell behind. I am just now getting cranked back up again. Nothing like have the pressure of trying to make 5 perfect knives taken off of you and having it replaced with the pressure of having to make 20+ almost perfect knives(so far) for orders, Blade and the A.G. Russell show!!!.

Not bad...for an attorney :).

yeah, yeah.:p So........are you going to be at Blade this year or has the shop move and the opening band slot at Fiskapalooza, not to mention the day job knocked you out?

Congrats, Joe - I think you earned it. (Hats off to Mr. Long and Coop, also)

Are these the ones?

How about a little hunter to match?

Michael - you're cornering the market on sweet stag knives, aren't you. :p

Thanks for posting up the pics.

When I first saw those two bowies I realized that all that self deprecating stuff you post about your knifemaking was just a bunch of hogwash. Those two knives show that you are an accomplished knifemaker and it's great to see you get some recognition. You deserve it.

WOOOO HOOOO!!!!! I finally received my copy of KW in the mail today. Not bad.:D

I examined a couple of your knives at BLADE Show two years ago, I believe.
You have sure come a long in your handle/ferrule/guard construction and fit-up. Nice pieces.

Will be looking forward to seeing more pieces at this year's show.
