I laminated a 1084 core with some very old wrought iron (AKA puddle iron) that came from the mines in northern Minnesota. This was very stringy iron that was difficult to forge but it makes a nice contrast with the steel.
Heat treated in my Evenheat furnace to Rc 58-60 with attention to a fine grain throughout the blade
Flat grind with forged texture on the flats
Stabilized maple burl handle
Overall length: 14 1/4 inches
Blade: 9 1/2 inches
Weight: 1 pound 2 ounces
Leather scabbard with a belt loop for a right hand carry
