Heading to Puerto Rico on Saturday and the house we rent always has dull crappy kitchen knives. The owner says good ones always come up missing after a rental. I am a Chef and this drives me nuts!!! Not checking bags, so cant bring my own. so... Can anyone suggest a place in Puerto Rico where I can pick up some decent but inexpensive kitchen Knives to use while we are there?
 
Are you flying in to San Juan, there's Walmarts all over the island. Ponce and Fajardo for instance. Bayamon is closest but the drive through Fajardo is beautiful, lush green mountains and then white sand beaches that are all empty. Fruit and roast pig stands everywhere. I wouldn't bother cooking though, the food in Puerto Rico is just too darn good to miss out on. Mofongo con camarones, pernil, cuchifritos, the list goes on...and on....
 
Thanks for the tips I didn't know wally world would be so prevalent we are flying into San Juan but staying in Rincon. Yes I love the food found on the island except Mofongo I wanted to like it. I heard so much about it and tried twice but its just to starchy and dry maybe I haven't tried it in the right place. I love ripe plantain but not the unripe it seems.
