Anyone own or had experience with the McCann Industries Puffin Magnum fixed blade for wild/woods work?

I've seen photos but nothing up close or first hand handling therefore, just at at first glance it shows some promise as an all around woods knife...good belly for skinning, some mass for batoning, adequate choil for close work, and full tang for strength...the only thing that might need some additional work is one might need to thin the primary edge toward the back of the blade so one can do some carving work - but that is purely speculative...the edge/grind appears to be rather thick for any carving.
It appears to have a sharpened false edge for self defense/back cutting although it doesn't have a Bowie clip point and have the lightening speed of a Bowie so it would work but not as effective as a true Bowie. But again it would be a woods/GP knife first and a secondary defense tool.
Price is rather steep but not unreasonable...what say ye?
