Hello All,
This is a knife that I kept for myself for a couple of years. It is the most elegant and beautiful hamon and hada I have ever made, but it really can only be appreciated in person. The blade is 700 something layers of 1075 and W2, with 2 layers of 15N20. It has a beautiful and subtle pattern, with a vivid and elaborate hamon.
The blade is 6" long, with a thickness of just under 3/16 at the ridge at the forte. It tapers a good deal.
The handle is a beautiful piece of curly oak with a ton of character. There are insect holes to add to the gnarly nature of the wood. I have filled all of the holes with epoxy, except there is just one small one right behind the top of the guard. It is minor, though. This handle is awesome.
$250 plus shipping.
PM me.
Thanks.
