Pulley Supplier

Help please !! I have been searching the net for about an hour plus looking for a supplier of multi-rib, multi channel, or multi groove (whatever you call them) drive pulleys....am building a grinder and need a multi rib pulley.....I found all kinds of pulleys that have one to five v's for different speeds driven by a a v-belt but I need a pulley that will take a belt that has 5 ribs in it...one belt working on one pulley.....not a pulley with multiple v-options for different speeds.....I am so frustrated I can't even explain my dilemma in clear words :grumpy:

Thanks. I checked there and they have the multi step pulleys that let you change speeds but I need a pulley that accepts a single belt with multiple ridges that turn a pulley with multiple grooves..all belt ridges mesh with all pulley grooves simultaneously...kinda like a tensioner pulley on a car's serpentine belt except locked to a drive shaft and not free spinning......sorry I still can't put it into words...but thanks for pointing me to traceys....they have lots of other stuff I need (want ) !!

Woops, my mistake. I just figured you wanted the standard step pulleys.

I think I know what your talking about though. Have seen a few setups like that. Cant help ya there though.

Is this what you are looking for?
A single pulley with multiple channels (ribs). Helps hold the belt from going over the edges of the drive pulley. Had to order one for my surface grinder a a while back.

Sounds like what you're looking for are timing belt pulley's

Unfortunately I can't tell you where to get one but my Ridgid tablesaw has a belt/pulley of this type. If there is a small engine/tool repair shop near you they may have one.

Maska Pulleys.

They are made by Baldor, are low cost, and have many sizes. You can buy them online.
