pulling the trigger on a 0200

I'll just add my .2 cents to the awesomeness of the ZT 0200.

Great knife that was under my radar for many, many years. When I finally pulled the trigger and got one, I said to myself. I only wished I hadn't waited so long!

One of the great ones for sure!

Before I ordered the 0200 I actually watched rival's video on this mod. Eased in the decision making.
Btw... it has arrived! Many thanks to deathbyfire for rocking it out to me fast. My initial impression is that I am surprised its not bigger. It seems like everyone on the tube is always talking like its a machete... wish these were around back when I was active duty.
Much more to come. I am gonna do a video.

Congrats, post your vid here!
Also, this may sound obsessive, but to simulate the feel of it, i made a full scale wooden version, well, just the shape of the blade, the handle is right thickness and rounded properly, just no grip textuee, and i havent gotten to grinding it...

Here is the short little vid... let me know if you guys want to see anything else. I just wanted to show it real quick.

Nice Vid!

Couple of things:

Seems like your flipper stroke in more of a hard pull back instead of a push through. If you work on pushing the flipper through the frame, the 0200 will deploy 100% of the time with no wrist flick.

Also, I am a big proponent of selling your lower end stuff to move up market. As you move up market, you'll start to carry, look at, play with your lower end stuff. At that point, they are just dead space. Sell them to fund nicer stuff. I just sold 60% of my collection in anticipation of Blade. Probably sold over a dozen knives and replaced them with three customs from Blade.

At the very least this is getting joined by an 0350 on payday. and there are a couple things going away for sure.

The 0200 was the knife that introduced me to the ZT line when a former coworker showed me his. I knew I would have one some day!

The 0200 is my outdoors knife when I go camping, fishing or just hiking it can do it all. Its small enough to carry and big enough to do anything outdoors. I personal don't like flippers so I machine mine off and now its perfect. Love this knife!

Thanks for the advice! you were right. This was my third flipper and my first was a ripple. as soon as I tried what you were saying it works better... so it appears I have been doing it wrong on my other one too.

That video makes me want to buy one. I'm going to have to dig into my stash and sell off some of my knives and get a couple of these. I'd love to have the stonewashed and the black blade.
