pulling the trigger

I would start with Izlua RC-3mil RC-4 RC-6 then get the rest next week!
you did say you want to invest in some RAT prouducts?
this would be a good start I think.

I would suggest either a RC-3 or an Izula for EDC. The RC-3 will get you into camping also. I would go with either a RC-4 for strictly a camp knife if you only have one knife. If using more than one knife, get a RC-6 & RC-3 or Izula combo.

This is my opinion which I'm sure will differ from some. Whatever you chose, you won't be sorry.

RC-4 would be a good choice to accommodate everything you mentioned...no matter which one you buy, you'll also end up with an Izula sooner or later.

I went with the RC4 and Izula combo and very happy with it. Izula for EDC and the 4 while hiking/camping/hunting. I'm looking to get the RC3 at my car knife to complete my bag.

Be sure to get the MIL version then with the glass breaker pommel.

'Nother vote for the RC-3. It was my first and I find it fills alot of roles, really really well. It's a great EDC and even kitchen blade, and can easily handle alot of rougher chores outside or in camp. Great all-around knife.
