I just bought one of these gold-plated, black blade lockbacks from 1988.
I have seen other examples like mine with the big "Gold 88" on the dark box model #230366 but I've also seen what appears to be the same knife offered up a number of times in a green 16-285 box.
Are these knives the same? Is it a matter of different packaging only? Just a different box for over-seas versus domestic markets perhaps?
If anyone is familiar wjth these knives please fill me in.
