I just had a potential deal/sale on a Custom with Bob_Glassman. It was a Fred Durio damascus/mammoth ivory gent's folder. We spent many an email over it and he even offered me trades. I decided to have him put a Spyderco serrated full-size Calypso in the mix to bring the cost down. My end of the bargain included a 3-day inspection period to his satisfaction. Lot's of pics sent.

After mailing him the knife, he politely declined, due to the smallish nature of the knife, which, as you know, is hard to visualize over dimensions in print.

Me? I still wanted that Calypso and paid him his asking. So I got one. (This thing is a close cousin to a chainsaw!!:p)

My knife is safe and sound back to me, and we lost a little on shipping, but each gained a new buddy. All's well. The way it SHOULD be.

If you are honest and straightforward and COMMUNICATE, then there's no probs. Just thought I'd pass this along as a good example of how things can work out.

Yep.. It is as Coop said it. He is a great guy to deal with.. He has also given me some great advise on motorcyles. It is amazing how you can meet someone on this forum and realize that you also share other interests. What is cool is that we are on totally opposite ends of the country..

Thanks Coop.. I will be most pleased to deal with you again. It is great to find new friends on the forum.

I recently traded with someone and he was not happy with the knife. He offered to trade for something else or have me buy his knife. We traded back again, no problem. There are some great folks here. Thanks all,

Leo G.
