Purchased An Ener-g1

Now accepting donations to buy yet another ENER-G, for the above mentioned modifications! Please PM me with your VISA/AMEX/MC number, expiration date, and CID # from the back. Sorry, no checks accepted!

A laser cut piece of stainless would look beautiful. It would match the blade perfectly. It would have to be scored in places for some grip, like the checkering on the front of a Wilson .45 handle. Any machine shop should be able to do this for a few bucks.

After thinking about this, I might have to get ANOTHER one to try this out. You guys cost me money....
Hey, SPX ... if you're taking orders and I can pay COD, I'd like one with scrimshawed mammoth ivory inserts. :)

BTW did you get another ENER-G2 for a user so the Onion model can stay NIB?

You betcha! The "onion" (locked in the fireproof gun safe) will eventually be worth something...20 to 30 years perhaps?

And to Thomas, I'm not the instigator of this!:D The reference post to this was before mine!

Vivi

How did you go about removing those inserts without tearing up the surface of the handle ??

I'd like to maybe replace the one under the clip with something smooth.

I carry mine in my back pocket and can almost lift myself off the ground trying to get it out.

......seems i recall a pocket knife was engraved with the wrong name on it a long time ago. Not sure what the right name should have been,.............

............but i think the wrong name engraved was someone called "Abe Lincoln". :)

Note,......the facts may have been changed to protect my ignorance. ;)

Can someone name me a knife that has increased in value over time due to an engraving mistake?
