Purchasing first Spyderco

Boyzz..I think maybe your right! I will go ahead and order the Caly 3 this Morning.
I must thank you all for your input, It has, and is quite helpful in making a decision.
I know my thinking to well..what I really want is the caly..so I will reverse my buying procedure. First the caly then the Delica. Now I can't wait!!
Peace to you all, Dave

I would bite the bullet for the Caly if thats the one you REALLY want I used FRN for a long time, but soon as I got my first G-10, there's no looking back. This is taken into account that you're in your 60's, time for some finer things!!

Agree, absolutely. :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I bought Caly3 a year ago for $98. It is terrific knife and worth every penny. I would pay even more if I had to. IMHO Caly3 is the best production EDC, I love this knife.
If you buy it, you will never regret.

Don't forget band aids...seriously. I cut myself within a week with each new spydies.

:D The new Caly 3 shipped this Morning, should be here the begining of next week! I also went down town to the pharmacy and bought a box band aides
With pictures of the Simpsons on them, I will be the coolest guy in town:p
Thanks again to all you Spidey Boyzz, your a great bunch:thumbup:

I have three Delica variants and only one Caly3. But guess which one I always have in my pocket? All my other knives hate the Caly3 because it hogs up all the pocket time.

:p Yep isn't that the way it is..I'm sitting beside my knife chest which has 6 drawers of you name it, pocket or belt carry. Every time I'm heading out with my usual $14.00 Mercator in pocket, I swear I hear take me, Take me, TAKE ME you old bugger!!;)

Do you have only one pocket?????????: :D:D:D

Your so correct, on buying one for less money State side..which I do with all knives hunters etc. It's just when you try to get any type of folder through Canada Customs,
they do the wrist flip, and if they think it is any type of gravity feed knife, they confiscate it. I have lost three different liner locks, with a thumb stud and not even power assisted ..so I have to pay a lot more, up here..to get the same thing.

I've shipped the Spyderco Military, Chinook III, Caly 3 and many others from the U.S. The only trouble I've had is with the Atlantic Salt and Calypso Jr. I'll not make that mistake again. Make sure the knife has an adjustable pivot and the dealer will tighten it for you, New Graham Knives is my standard supplier now. I recommend buying from them.
Remember it must have an adjustable pivot, and you must ask them to tighten it.
As long as those rules are followed you are complying with Canadian law to the letter.
Also. With the dollar the way it is right now it's highway robbery to pay Canadian prices.

Make sure the knife has an adjustable pivot
JJ, do you think this model has an adjustable pivot? SC11PGRE SPYDERCO DELICA 4 ZDP189 BLADE GREEN
Thanks, Dave
