I had considered it for the XD XT, but decided not to ask for it. On the XD XM, I decided to go for it - and cbach (I believe) also said something about a swedge in the thread about the XT -

John and I have decided on XD Modern Bowie as the name for this series. I understand John is going to offer this model in three flavors. ;^)

I was doing a little chopping with the XD XT this evening - after chopping through a 2x4 with it, I was able to EASILY shave hair from my forearm.
