We just completed a photo shoot yesterday for the Japanese contingent. Mick came up, and we spent the day destroying things. For the record-if Mick is anywhere near a helicopter with an ax-the helicopter will lose badly. No part of the Bell 412 helicopter could sustain the ax assault. It cut fuselage without a problem, and 1 shot is all the chin bubble plexiglass needed to completely collapse. We used a SEAL 2001 to cut nice big windows out of double thickness areas of a vehicle quarter panel. Both the knife and axe cut wood, autobody, and fuselage without dulling or any damage to anything other than the tiger stripe finish. Overall, the Striders were just plain bad a**.

Nothing like some destruction with nice blades to get the blood pumping. If you do something close to the US, let us know

HC, you are in trouble-the Ax is awesome. The photo's were done by Ichiro Nagata and Tomo Hasagawa-these guys are off the chart with a camera. Sorry for the confussion Reed-we were actually a whole 3 hours south of you down I-15. The photos should turn up in one of the Japanese Knife magazines and one of American Handgunners publications. I am sure that the Strider guys will be able to post some of the pictures.

Either way, it's just somantics. Tom, I stopped by Atlanta on my way to Florida and let them know about your arrival times and flight info. Customs and DEA will be holding up one of those little white signs that says, "Attention, Mr. Mayo, we have your luggage." Please don't make a scene.

Ryan,
Are you saying that proper spelling is not important? Hasn't the airforce taught you anything?

On the subject of spelling, this is an actual grafitto seen in OCS at MCB Quantico, circa 1978:

"Yesterday I couldn't spell Lieutenant, and today I are one!"

Hey Josh,
If spelling is so important to you, why don't you learn to spell "airforce" the correct way with correct capitalization? It is Air Force. With a space and a few extra caps thrown in there somewhere. You guys have it ****ed up on your website too. Tis a shame. My how the unenlightened are such a blight on my keen intellect!

Isn't it "Farce"? You know I am only kidding brother. I am just jealous that your birds can actually remain in flight.

How is life? I hope all is well.

I agree Mr. J. It is a crime what has happened with the MV-22 Program. I will say, however, that when the F-16 first was introduced, they were crashing them left and right. Hell, they still have crashed more than 12 in a year.(2000) The only difference is the number of the souls on board. It sucks, but sometimes brave men have to give their lives to feed the fires of progress. Look at Apollo 1.
Off the philosophical note, all is well here. Going to meet the boys in Atlanta bright and early Friday morning and suffer through three days of Blade show. I only have around $200 to last me the weekend. Wanna bet I don't make it? I have plans to make it out towards San Diego sometime this summer, so I'll see you then.
