Forged these today from some 1/4" pure iron round bar. They are size 11, which fits my ring finger.

Now you need to make some matching earrings!

I picked up 200 pounds of 1/4" pure iron rod when I was back in New England this summer (on the cheap from a closing warehouse). The 10th graders are making their hook and leaf fob exercises out of it this year. I have an 11th grader working on a forged leaf necklace using it too. It will be interesting to see what she pulls together. Have you forge welded any of it yet? I understand it's a lot easier than mild steel.

thanks guys!

Phil, this is most likely the same stuff.

Mike, not much is needed I think, the pure iron is pretty resistant to rust, I will gift them this year to beta testers to see how they wear.

XMAS is coming! Time to make gifts now so you can relax for the holidays instead of be forging on Christmas eve(like I was last year :)).

Nice Sam! looks like a fun project to do,
